Yes! All our products are deliciously vegan, we just prefer to use the term ‘plant-based.’ The ‘V’ icon can be found on each of our product labels on the reverse side. All our products are officially vegan certified with the American Vegetarian Association (AVA).

Alpha Foods products have proudly been strictly vetted by Food Chain ID and Project Non-GMO Verified programs. All of our ingredients have non-GMO ingredient certifications.

Our products are made using non-GMO soy that is sourced in the US. We can confirm that we use both soy protein concentrates and isolated soy protein in many of our products because of their role in helping to develop meat-like texture as well as their protein contribution.

We love soy, and we think you should too. In addition to being a delicious protein source, soy production also uses less water and land than raising farm animals does. Hurray for plant-based sustainability!

No, our products are all palm oil free, yay! We used to use sustainably sourced palm oil in our products, but after doing further homework, have determined that even the sustainably sourced palm oil is questionable in its origins. For this reason, we are thrilled to let you know that we reformulated our products to avoid the use of palm oil altogether and have alternatively switched to other vegetable oils like coconut, soybean and canola. We are always looking to improve and upgrade as we learn more!

At this time, we do not have a gluten-free option as our propriety meatless ‘meat’ blend is made from wheat gluten. However, our innovations team is looking into options. Stay tuned!

Our products do contain various protein contents such as soy protein, and vegetable protein. To learn more about the protein content and ingredients in our products, see the nutritional information found on “Our Products” pages.

Some of our products do contain tree nuts. However, you can still enjoy all other Alpha products with peace of mind as all our manufacturing partners have robust allergen control systems to control incidents of cross-contamination. As always, it is critical you refer an individual product’s ingredient list to verify it is suitable for you.

Our co-manufacturers are all BRC and /or SQF 2 or higher – rated facilities. As such, they respectively maintain and adhere to the very highest level of allergen controls (for the top 8 allergens), HACCP plans and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Our products are created to be cooked from frozen and we recommend keeping products in freezer until ready to serve and cooking to internal temperature of 165° F.
